Arrive Madrid and check into Dear Hotel
DAY 2
MADRID
Enjoy a 4-hour private tour covering all of the city highlights. Walk the old quarter of Madrid followed by exploration of the parks, bullring, avenues and business area.
DAY 3
Segovia, Pedraza
Arrive at the viewpoint of the Alcazar fortress of Segovia. Take a walking tour through the historic parts of Segovia, from the Roman Aqueduct to the royal residence of Alcazar and Cathedral of Segovia. Enjoy a delicious 3 course lunch in Segovia’s city center. Continue to the medieval village of Pedraza where time has stood still for centuries. Explore winding narrow alleys, and enjoy the magical vibe. Return to Madrid.
DAY 4
Madrid
Spend a free day exploring Madrid on your own. In the evening, take a tapas tour and experience the local food traditions. Sample tapas from 5 different venues in the different districts of downtown Madrid; each stop varies significantly in style and specialty.
DAY 5
Malaga
Arrive Malaga and check into Barceló Malaga Hotel. Spend a free evening exploring Malaga.
DAY 6
Granada - Alhambra
Take a private tour to Granada. Continue to Alhambra for a tour of the monument. Return to Malaga.
DAY 7
Ronda
Take a day trip to Ronda on your own. Explore Puente Nuevo, a bridge that took 42 years to build and joins the old Moorish town and the newer El Mercadillo. Walk to the gorge along the Camino de los Molinos. Visit the Plaza de Toros, the Real Maestranza bullring, which was built in 1785 and is one of the oldest in the world. Acinipo Ruins lays 20 kilometers outside of Ronda and is an archaeological site which is located in an ancient Roman city and dates back to the first century AD. Return to Malaga.
DAY 8
Cordoba
Take a day trip to Cordoba on your own. Explore the Mezquita, an ancient mosque and one of the most beautiful examples of Spanish Islamic architecture. Take a stroll through the Calleja de las Flores, a popular tourist street, or the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, a Mudejar style palace with splendid gardens.
DAY 9
Mallorca
Arrive Mallorca, the largest Balearic island in the Mediterranean. Check into VIVA Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa. Visit the world’s tallest gothic cathedral, Le Seu. Go in the morning to witness the sun shining through the rose window giving a spectacular beam of colored light shining into the cathedral. Enjoy leisurely activities at the picturesque white sand beaches.
DAY 10
Mallorca
Experience a cooking class of authentic Mallorcan dishes with one of Mallorca’s philosophical top chefs. Located in a tiny mountain village, learn to prepare local dishes with fresh market ingredients.
DAY 11
Mallorca
Enjoy a fabulous sailing excursion from the seaside port of Porto Colom. Pass along the east coast and view its characteristic cliffs, remote nooks and caves, and virgin coves. During the trip, lunch is served with authentic and traditional flavors of the island accompanied by Mallorcan wines and liquors.
DAY 12
MALLORCA
Take a day trip to remote destinations away from the crowds. Visit the Tramuntana Mountains and the 16th century watch tower. Enjoy a short hike with friendly donkeys through ancient olive trees, then continue to Deia to visit a local sculptor’s studio. Continue to the north of the island and visit Pollensa.
DAY 13
Barcelona
Arrive Barcelona and check into Casa Grand Luxury Apartments. Enjoy a free evening in Barcelona.
DAY 14
BARCELONA
Take a 4-hour city tour in a luxury class vehicle covering the Gothic Quarter and Cathedral, La Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, the Montjuic Castle, the Olympic facilities, Plaza Espanya and the Boqueria market. Spend a free afternoon exploring on your own and take a stroll through Park Guell.
DAY 15
BARCELONA
Enjoy a market tour around the iconic Boqueria market, followed by a hands-on cooking class.
DAY 16
Costa Brava - Barcelona
Travel to central Costa Brava for a small group kayaking tour. Paddle up and down the dramatic coastline with plenty of time to swim, snorkel, and enjoy a picnic lunch in a secluded cove on the beach. Return to Barcelona.
